Sometimes Julie hand-prints short-run fabric lengths in the studio. Never to be repeated, one-off pieces. Sometimes these fabrics become wall hangings, sometimes cushions and lampshades and when she's making the work, she listens to music.
How Did We Get Here? is a line from Once In A Lifetime by Talking Heads and is one of the songs that Julie listened to during the making of the piece of fabric that became this cushion.
The title is stitched onto the reverse side. Same as it ever was.
This cushion is made from hand-printed midweight linen and is fitted with an invisible zip. We prewash the covers to get that relaxed, no-need-to-iron look that we all love nowadays.
